Walk 'n' Talk Collective has partnered with Wellways Australia through the Carer Gateway program to support unpaid carers across Central Queensland. Through this program, eligible carers can access practical support, respite, counselling and personalised guidance when they need it.
Wellways has spent more than 40 years supporting Australians through mental health and carer challenges. Together, we make sure carers have a trusted place to turn.
Through this partnership, local carers gain access to:
- Support groups and connection
- 24/7 respite and emergency assistance (currently referred)
- Tailored practical support
- Counselling with qualified professionals
- Individual coaching to strengthen wellbeing
- Planning help to create a personalised support approach
